DSL also carries out Dropped Object Surveys and as part of our
commitment to assist with the reduction in dropped objects, DSL is a
participating member of the DROPS forum. One major advantage you have with
selecting DSL to carry out your dropped objects survey is that this can often
be incorporated into your Derrick and/or Substructure inspection. We utilise
the same personnel to carry out both therefore there is a real cost saving
opportunity for you. Typically we carry out DOS on;

Another major advantage, as with our derrick inspections, is that
if there are any problems or potential issues our surveyors have the support of
our Engineering Department to review any area of concern. We can also recommend
or procure replacement components for you and directly fabricate any structural
component that has become damaged or subject to advanced fatigue. But most
importantly, we have the experience to detect potential problems.
Our survey teams use both conventional fall arrest systems and Rope Access
equipment to undertake these surveys, for which they are trained in the safe
use and inspection of their equipment.
