Our Singapore fabrication facility was recently put to the test to get a customer back to work after having damaged their A Frame/Cantilever Legs on a Dreco Slingshot Rig during rig up.
After receiving the call we immediately dispatched a survey crew to assess the damage and establish the full scope of works to get the rig back to work.
Upon gathering all the relevant information we created the necessary fabrication drawings and then commenced the fabrication and machining of the replacement A Frames to API 4F specifications.
Our Singapore workshop personnel turned these around in record time and the new parts where ready for delivery within 15 days of the initial survey, without any compromise on quality.
The fit up onsite went smoothly with the new Cantilever Legs fitting perfectly, allowing the raising of the rig to be completed and enabling our customer to getting back to drilling. DSL provided an Engineer onsite to oversee the installation of the components and successful raising of the rig.
