The DSL derrick team on board the Transocean Monarch project in Denmark have been awarded “Safety Team of the Month” for” outstanding performance working at height and good compliance with quayside and platform operations” stated Satya Veeramalla Project Manager for Transocean and Søren Henrik Borup Semco’s Team Leader.
The DSL team were presented with cash bonds as recognition of their contribution to the overall safety of the project.
This award comes on the back of two other project commendations for DSL Derrick Teams in August on the 135 & 711 Projects;
135 Project – West Africa
Transocean Project Superintendent – “These DSL personnel working under the supervision of Steve and Phil have been a great asset to our “one team” working to complete this project. All of them worked tirelessly on many work activities and their knowledge and skill in conducting the tasks asked of them were conducted without complaint, professionally and safely.
Many of these tasks were carried out in areas of poor access and surrounding conditions. It has been a pleasure to work with these men and I will be sorry to see them go on 17th August. I hope to work with these men in the near future if available on my next project with Transocean. Again gents, thanks for all the help we received, we really needed it and couldn’t have completed this project without them on time. I am writing to you to thank you for DSL’s support during the previous period on the 135 project.
Sedco 711 Project – Invergordon, Scotland
Performance Tool Pusher
Before I go on shore leave, On behalf of myself and the drilling teams I wanted to give this note of recognition for the DSL team performing drilling work scopes.
They have been very proactive in adopting Transocean’s safety tools, conducting a new Transocean WRA each morning then having their TBT, Using START and our PROMT cards.
And when performing their tasks, In short a pleasure to work with and impressive to watch.
Well done to our guys on both these jobs and all other jobs Worldwide, sustaining the safety and protection of both our own people and those that they are working with, keep up the very good work.
