TRAINING FACILITIES AT THE DSL TRAINING ACADEMY
Training and assessment facilities at the DSL Training Academy have recently undergone a major transformation through a series of capital investments into new equipment. The investment has widened the scope of training that can be delivered and improves the experience of delegates by the creation of a true to life working situation in a safe and controlled environment.
A recently decommissioned Crown Block (pictured right) has been modified with a new Gin-Pole and access arrangements for use on the Drilling Structure Inspector course.
Similarly a trailer based land rig (pictured right) has been modified by the addition of a substructure and new walkways again for use in DSL’s Drilling Structure Inspector courses. The Training Academy yard area has been resurfaced and new fencing erected around the facility to further improve the training environment.
