DSL’s Role: Core project team
Leading with the best
Our team from DSL working on Spirit-Energy DP6 in the Irish Sea is making good progress and a great impact. Chris Fiddy from DSL is photographed here receiving his certificate for Project Leadership in recognition of his consistently high standards on this complex, challenging and strategically significant offshore partial decommissioning project. The project is time-critical and the MHLP Leadership Programme has been set up to ensure that all parties within the project work as One Team with care and attention to safety, whilst ensuring optimal delivery.
This endorsement of Chris’s leadership skills, and particularly as the first supervisor to achieve this recognition, is great news for DSL and demonstrates reassuringly that the people we put forward for collaborative projects are well trained, knowledgeable and equipped to work productively with other teams. Chris was credited for leading safely and bringing specialist expertise to the mix. Chris was incidentally the deserved winner of DSL’s Safety Champion in November, in recognition of his exception contribution to DSL’s stringent Health & Safety culture.
The assessor from MHLP noted that ‘‘Chris has a great deal of experience in the industry and has the ability through understanding his men and the work scope to anticipate any trouble spots while at the same time being solution orientated. ‘’
And a message to Chris from DSL HQ: ‘’Congratulations on this great achievement; this is no surprise at all to me, as you have been a DSL Safety Champion on many occasions. You have constantly placed Safety First for DSL; the DP6 Project and your fellow work groups, so well done and please continue to lead by example on all HSE matters.’’ Chris Warne. DSL Group HSE Manager.
