DSL Asset Tagging Project in the MENA region

DSL have undertaken a successful asset tagging project in the MENA region.

A large rig operator approached DSL to find a solution to manage assets on board their rigs in the Middle East region. DSL proposed that using our RigCentral asset management software, coupled with RFID tagging would present full transparency of assets, enabling the customer to have point of access availability to item documentation, expiry dates, maintenance records and much more. A dedicated team of DSL asset technicians installed RFID tags onto key assets on board several rigs, completing client specific documentation for each asset identified.

Throughout the project, this data was available to the client through the use of RigCentral tablet PC’s locally and globally when synchronized to the RigCentral web-portal.

The customer is now using RigCentral’s flexible and adaptable reporting suite to assist in the managing of key components onboard their rigs. Ensuring they are compliant with legislation while also managing the lifecycle of each tagged asset.
